Post 3: Know Thy Maps

Through many backstabbings received, and teabags thereafter, that in order to have a shot (literally), you've GOT to know you're environment and use it to your advantage.  98% of the time, the place you don't want to be is out in the open.  99% of the time, you the place you don't ever want to be is where the enemy will expect you to be.

Learn the maps.
Every player has a favorite barrel to hide behind, a favorite corner to wait for unsuspecting knife victims, or a favorite window, that after being broken, you can juuuust slide over enough to see the enemy's spawn point.  Find your own (because they're likely someone else's as well).

Learn the objectives
In objective-related games such as demolition and domination, learn where the bomb sites are, the many routes to approach them, and (most importantly) the many defensive positions along each route that the enemy will be using to defend the points.  When on defense, move between these points as the guys on offense switch they're advances.

The mediocre Gamer has learned...
98% of the time, you don't want to be out in the open.  99% of the time, you don't want to be where the enemy will expect you to be, and 100% of the time, you never want to be the easy target.
